The agreement that governs earning on Korokoro
These terms govern every way money moves between Korokoro and a creator. You accept them when you join the creator programme, and they continue to apply for as long as you earn on the platform.
Participation in Korokoro monetization is a privilege, not a right. You must hold an account in good standing, be old enough to enter a contract in your country, complete identity verification where we are required to run it, and meet the published thresholds for the programme you are joining.
Programmes are independent. Being eligible for fan funding does not make you eligible for advertising revenue, and eligibility can be re-evaluated at any time as your account signals change.
Earnings are held for a settlement period before becoming available, so that refunds, chargebacks, invalid traffic and copyright disputes can be resolved first. Payouts are released once your available balance reaches the minimum threshold for your country, currency and provider.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your payout details. Payouts can be paused where verification, tax or compliance information is missing, or where your country cannot lawfully be paid into.
You must provide legal name, address, tax residency and any tax identification or forms required by your jurisdiction. Korokoro may apply withholding tax and collect VAT or GST where the law requires it, and may report your earnings to the relevant authorities.
Korokoro does not provide tax advice. Consult a qualified professional about your own obligations.
Content permitted on Korokoro is not automatically eligible to earn. Each piece of content is classified as fully monetizable, limited, not monetizable or removed, following the Monetization Policy.
Reuploaded, duplicated, mass-produced or low-effort content does not earn. AI-generated or AI-assisted content must be disclosed and must still meet every other rule.
You must hold the rights necessary to monetize everything you upload. Permission to post something is not the same as permission to earn from it.
Where a rights owner makes a valid claim, revenue on the affected content may be held, reassigned or forfeited, and repeat claims end your participation in monetization.
Artificially inflating views, clicks, engagement, gifts or subscriptions — by any means, whether automated or coordinated — is prohibited. So is transacting with yourself or with accounts you control.
Detected invalid activity is deducted from earnings before payout, and confirmed fraud results in forfeiture of the affected earnings and removal from monetization.
Korokoro may correct your ledger for refunds, chargebacks, invalid traffic, duplicate credits, tax corrections, currency conversion errors and clawbacks of amounts paid in error.
Every adjustment is recorded in your earnings history with a reason. Negative adjustments are offset against future earnings where a payout has already been released.
We may suspend or terminate your participation in monetization for breaches of these terms, the Community Guidelines, the Monetization Policy or applicable law, or where we are legally required to do so.
On termination, verified earnings that are not subject to a hold, claim or investigation remain payable once the minimum threshold is met. You may close your monetization account at any time.
You can appeal a monetization rejection, demonetization, earnings adjustment, copyright claim, account suspension or payout restriction from Creator Studio.
Every appeal follows the same route: decision → specific reason → your appeal → human review → final decision. We aim to give you the specific reason for an outcome rather than a generic message.
Raise a payment dispute within 60 days of the payout or ledger entry you are querying. Provide the transaction reference and what you believe the correct amount to be.
Where the dispute is upheld, a correcting entry is posted to your ledger and included in your next payout. Provider-side failures — such as a rejected bank transfer — are returned to your available balance.
These Creator Monetization Terms sit alongside the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Monetization Policy and Privacy Policy, and apply in addition to them. Where they conflict on a monetization matter, these terms govern.
Korokoro is operated by XCEL MEDIA LIMITED. We may update these terms; material changes are notified in Creator Studio before they take effect, and continuing to earn after that date is acceptance.
Nothing in these terms is tax, legal or financial advice.
